Amy is an Exeter-based yoga teacher and sports masseuse who works privately, and also for Ocean Physio. It was such a lovely late September day for a wedding. There was not a cloud in the sky over the beautiful Somerset venue of Quantock Lakes. Tracy and Justine were getting ready in different apartments at the venue, so I went from one to the other to get their preparation photos. Their flowers were stunning, the brides had not even specified what they wanted, but it worked out well! The ceremony and after-dinner speeches were very moving, everyone was in tears! There's a new wedding venue in Devon! Clifford Barton near Drewsteignton, it's beautiful! Surrounded by the loveliest scenery, wooded slopes, a lake where you can row boats and paddleboard, and a lakeside ceremony boathouse. The venue was launched at the end of September, and we photographed brides and grooms in the picturesque surroundings, including some shots paddleboarding to their ceremony! It was such a pleasure photographing Sophia and Lee's wedding at the wonderful Exeter Castle. The venue is the best photographically, beautiful big rooms with lots of natural light and Venetian mirrors and chandeliers everywhere. The ceremony and afternoon tea took place in the Ballroom, the very posh disco took place in one of the Terrace Rooms, where the groom and groomsmen made hilarious speeches on the stage in front of the biggest work of art you've ever seen! Private bride and groom photos were taken on the castle walls overlooking Exeter, and in front of the castle gates. We even managed to fit in some golden hour shots in the pretty garden at the back. A last minute cancellation from their photographer led to me capturing this lovely couple's wedding at Exeter's Registry Office at Larkbeare House. What a lovely venue! The Boathouse down near the river amongst the most gorgeous trees and foliage is a great setting for an outdoor ceremony. Oh my goodness, what a wedding! I had photographed the couple earlier in the year for their engagement shoot amongst the bluebells. Their big day had arrived and I photographed both getting ready in the lovely rooms of the old castle. The weather was constant sunshine. Unbeknown to the bride and groom, the family had arranged an owl ring bearer so there was great excitement during the ceremony! There was champagne in the Rose Garden with the Exe Estuary as a backdrop. All the guests then climbed aboard the Powderham tractor and trailer to be taken down the beautiful American Garden where they had Pimms and cream tea provided by Posh Nosh. This couple were so sweet at their wedding at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel in Plymouth. Again another sweltering day with constant sunshine. It was a stunning evening at Reed Hall for Exeter School's Year 11 Prom, looking out on to the greenery of the campus and Exeter beyond. All the pupils had portraits in front of Reed Hall before escaping to their party! but I managed to catch up with them all during drinks on the lawn and in the rose garden and for dancing afterwards.
