Deer Park Country House Hotel near Honiton in Devon is an amazing wedding venue throughout the year.  There is no problem with a rainy wedding day when you are at Deer Park as the interiors are so stylish, but on a sunny day, the grounds are beautiful, with the Italian Terrace Garden just near the reception Orangerie, with colourful flowers and Italianesque cypresses.  The fountain in the middle of the lawn and the hotel building itself make lovely backdrops, and the walled garden provides a different setting which can be a friendly sheltered place for brides when the wind is blowing!

Exeter Castle, right in the heart of the city, is another lovely light-filled venue with huge arched windows, beautiful crystal chandeliers and mirrors.  Some of its architecture dates back to the 11th century and it boasts lovely views of the city from the Castle walls.  From a photographer's point of view, it is brilliant because of the flattering light and from a couple's point of view, it appears a very easy and stylish wedding venue.
